“Yep, they’ve gone completely crazy. They spent too much time at altitude or they are having a heatstroke or something!” We can hear you think it at loud from here. Well, we don’t blame you if you look at that nonsense title. But rest assured, we’re only a little bit crazy and the title is going to make sense in a minute!

What already a new blog?! The last awesome blog was only five days ago. Yes, we’re already back with some new reading material. We can’t ride over the largest salt flat in the world and not write a blog about it!

“We’re only staying for a day or two”, that’s what we said while entering the capital of Bolivia; La Paz. Riding into the city was pretty hectic, like with every city. We felt we were on a roll with being on the road again, everyone was feeling better, the views along lake Titicaca were stunning. The deep blue water with the reflecting sun, the snow-topped mountains in the background and the sun disappearing into the lake every night made it kind of idyllic.

The seasons in Peru aren’t real that outspoken, it is more divided into a wet and a dry season. However our start from Arequipa really did feel like a bleak midwinter. It got freezing cold at night, Jesse got sick on the second day and Oli got sick as well to top it of… But don’t worry, like always everything turned out fine. So this blog will end with a “they cycled happily ever after”!

It’s finally here… the moment we’ve been at the same time excited for, but also dreading a little bit: getting back on our bikes and hitting the road once more!

Luxury is kind of a big word. Our lifestyle isn’t necessarily luxurious, but living in a little town in Peru makes us realize just how luxurious our “normal” lives might seem. In this blog we would like to take a moment to acknowledge the differences between our “western” and “luxurious” lifestyle in contrast to the “small town” Peruvian way of life.

The title speaks for itself! A lot of happy faces here in Peru. Not only ours, but the kids’ faces definitely too. Expect for a few Instagram posts, until now, we’ve never fully explained about the volunteering we are doing. Therefore this blog, to shed some light onto this amazing project.

Hey there! Remember us? Yes, we know it has been a while since we wrote something, or posted something, or made a YouTube video… Are we bad influencers? Yes! Because we aren’t. We were two tired Belgians who took a little break.

It's the final countdown tututuduuu tudututuduuuuuu... We are counting down towards the end of the first chapter in our trip. Because at the end of this blog we'll fly to Peru and not cycle for a while, which brings up some mixed feelings. 

On our trusty steeds we continue our way South, through the Central Valley and into the Wild West. In this blog it gets hot, steep and sometimes a little boring. Like many times before, we've met some really nice people. But that never gets boring!
